Heidi Vogels is an artist and filmmaker. Her work consists of poetic, multilayered stories in film, photography and events. From a spatial perspective, she explores the interstices of different sets of the visible, of nature and culture, of time and place, from the context of the local. For several years her work centers on the space of the garden in research based film projects in Fez and in the oases of the Sahel region, South of Morocco. She is also art program director of Cracking the Frame Presents, a recurrent film program of screenings, talks and events in cinema and art spaces in Amsterdam, investigating the shifting domains of visual arts and documentary film.

Recently her work was presented in exhibitions at le18 in Marrakech, Quartair in The Hague and Jut Art Museum in Taipei.
