Bernardo Zanotta is a Brazilian filmmaker and visual artist based in Amsterdam. He makes film and video work which depart from an interest in theatre and performativity and often engages in projects on the border of theory and practice.
In recent years, he has screened and exhibited at festivals and venues such as: the 71st Locarno Film Festival (Locarno, Switzerland); 64th Kurzfilmtage (Oberhausen, Germany); BIDEODROMO (Bilbao, Spain); Supermarket Art Fair (Stockholm, Sweden) and the Nieuwe Vide Foundation (Haarlem, Netherlands).
He holds a bachelor degree in Moving Image from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie (Amsterdam, NL) and has completed residencies at the Künstlerhäuser Worpswede (Bremen, Germany) and Asematila (Helsinki, Finland).
